AAHA Accredited Mean?
The AAHA was established in 1933 for the purpose of establishing a respected accreditation program for animal hospitals and is the only organization that provides accreditation for vet hospitals in the US and Canada.
The AAHA accreditation process is voluntary, so very few animal hospitals have earned this designation. In fact, only about 12% of animal hospitals are accredited. Those that are have proven their commitment to providing the highest-quality patient care and customer service. Veterinary hospitals are evaluated on over 900 standards in order to become accredited, and the standards are reviewed regularly. To maintain accreditation, animal hospitals must undergo a comprehensive evaluation every three years.
